Inside The Dream

Our Team

Now I'd like to introduce you to the members of Inside the Dream, they are our Dream Angels.

Ruth Renwick &
Trisha Waechter
(Co-Founders)

"It gives us great joy putting this program together and being there for graduates at this special time in their lives. Graduation will always be remembered, cherished & reflected on throughout a young graduate’s life. We wish to give these students the chance to have this experience, so they will have fond memories of high school and have their time to shine and celebrate all their hard work and accomplishments. Every student deserves this one night in their lives and our hope and hard work is to make this dream come true."

Wayne Renwick

"I have the honour & pride of joining my wife Ruth & daughter Trisha’s outstanding community service program, as the first & most willing volunteer. A special thanks to my daughter Erika for her beautiful website. I have truly enjoyed watching the idea turn into a reality, & can’t wait to see the faces of our students prepare for their special graduation. If your wife or girlfriend has just shown you this page, you can be sure I’ll be after YOU to be a volunteer either this year, or the next, or the next…… "

Erika Lowe
(Webmaster)

"I am the designer & webmaster of Inside the Dream. I was approached by my step-mother Ruth with this fabulous idea, of giving under privileged graduate students the chance of a lifetime...to goto their graduation in style. I personally never attended my prom, but to assist those who can and will, brings me so much happiness. Helping those who are less fortunate, that is important to me and my family."

Bev Maclean

"I work for Re/Max Specialists and believe in giving back to the community. I did not have parents to support me when I grew up and remember not having a grad dress for my graduation. Graduation is a very special time in a teenagers life. I am thrilled to be a member of "Inside the Dream" and excited about helping less fortunate teenagers. Graduation is a very special day, let's make it a day that they will always remember!"

Megan Smith

"I volunteer with Inside the Dream to experience the generosity of donors, the compassion of the many big-hearted volunteers and the pure joy and excitement of the teens preparing for their prom. All our hard work comes together each year at our Boutique Day and it is absolutely magical! At the end of that day I feel so blissful I can’t wait until next year. I volunteer with Inside the Dream because I love it!

Tracey Ciccarelli-Ridsdill

"I am the voice of inside the dream. I will talk to anyone who will listen. I speak with excitement and passion. I am a firm believer in this program and those who listen when I speak often say that they get goose bumps from my stories. The concept of inside the dream began when a need was presented to me from a single mother whom I was working with. Her daughter would not have been able to attend her graduation if not for the love and compassion displayed by Ruth and me. Together we made her Prom night possible and thus inside the dream was born. I am one of the original volunteers and envision inside the dream welcoming my own children to its growing list of volunteers as I feel that the program can only continue to grow and expand. I am a true believer."

Juan Hrepic

"There are a number of reasons why I volunteered with Inside The Dream. It all began as a "thank you" to Ruth Renwick for sending a student at my school to a sport camp free of charge. The student was in foster care and was an incredible person and athlete, but could not afford to play any kind of organized sports. Ruth helped me and I felt an urge to return the favour. The second reason I am involve with ITD is the feeling that one gets after helping those children on boutique day. It reenergyzes the soul and you come out with a great sense of optimism towards today's youth. There are a great number of kids who are strong, responsible, honest and hard working, yet because they struggle financially society tends to overlook them. Those are the kids ITD helps out and seen their smile and tears on boutique day summarizes the many other reasons I have for working with ITD."

Catherine Longo-Bon

"As the newest member of ITD, I cannot begin to express the overwhelming excitement to be involved in such a dynamic non-profit organization which provides instant gratification, self-esteem and pride to our community’s greatest assets, our students.
When I originally volunteered a number of years ago to sort clothes, I noticed the true passion, energy and commitment of all of the volunteers and more specifically the executive committee-the real unsung heroes. They each received full satisfaction knowing that each student would now be experiencing what they rightly should be-a chance to attend their prom. It’s more than just a prom with a beautiful dress, pressed suit, patent shoes and great accessories…it’s the resulting innate pride and self-esteem of each student when they have an opportunity to celebrate their past tribulations and challenges, and toast with peers to embark upon an exciting journey into the future.
If ITD can assist in making their night shine, and create long lasting memories for students who have experienced social-economic challenges in their short life thus far, then I will continue to volunteer and ensure each student gets this same opportunity.
Thank you to Ruth and Tracey for founding such a well-orchestrated, heart-felt foundation."
